Hi everyone, just finished my junior year and want to apply for the fall 2026 MFE program. I'd like to see my chance of getting into good programs. All opinions, advice, and comments are extremely appreciated.

Education: University of Washington
Major: Mathematics
GPA: 3.47
GRE: Haven't taken, aim at 325+ with 170 quant
Coursework (taken and plan to take):
- Math: Real Analysis; Linear Algebra; Multi Calc; Calc I & II; Modern Algebra; Discrete Mathematical Modeling; Probability I & II; (Plan to take: Stochastic Process, Numerical Analysis, Linear Optimization.)
- Stats: Theory of Statistics
- CS: Python Programming; Database Systems; Reinforcement Learning; Artificial Intelligence; Data Structures and Algorithms; Java Programming
- Econ: Intermediate Micro Econometrics

My Concerns: GPA is not competitive at all; No much quant research and experiences.

Again, All opinions, advice, and comments are extremely appreciated.

You are early enough in the process that you should be able to get all your ducks on a row and tailor your undergrad coursework to be competitive for top MFE programs.
Are you a domestic student or international?
Critical things you can do is to get relevant internship, invest time in leetcode, learn C++ and research these programs well so you can come off convincingly as why this field, this program, etc. All your preparation should backup your research on why you choose this field.
You should be able to learn everything you need to get into a top MFE programs from reading from other applicants here.
