Hello Guys,
Could you please advise on my chances of getting into a top MFE program.
I am currently pursuing Bachelor of Technology in Metallurgical Engg.
-- I studied basic maths like calculus, algebra, partial differentiation, Mathematical methods, Numerical Techniques.
--Two-month Internship as Financial Market Analyst at Futures First Info Services where I traded Us cotton no. 2 futures contract in ICE US Exchange.
-- programming skills learnt during my undergraduate time (C, R, Matlab)
Studying in the top 7th university of India ( Indian Institute of Technology (Banaras Hindu University), Varanasi, converted to US GPA is 3.76 and have batch rank 4.
Why I became very interested in finance. During the internship at Futures First, I learned a bunch of trading skills and Technical analysis. I was working very hard for about 11and half hrs a day during this internship to make up my skills. Also, I have family background in trading, my uncle is trading for last 10 years and have portfolio of 30 Million INR in Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), I have been seeing him since my childhood and always wanted do trading, and have been trading on virtual reality trading platforms in BSE since my first year of UG studies. I find it very interesting, thrilling and it is my passion.
Also, I have represented India at Shell Eco-marathon Asia 2017 where I lead my team as Finance and Administrative head where I managed a sum of 10 lakhs for the whole participation, shipping and manufacturing of vehicle in the event and we successfully achieved 11th rank in Asia and made the most fuel efficient of India. We were the team with a vehicle cost of just 2 lakhs INR whereas the competing teams had better technologies and vehicle cost of more than 10 lakhs.
After graduation, I immediately want to pursue masters study.
I do not have any full time working experiences. But I have done 2 summer internships.
I will graduate in coming May and I want to apply for a MFE or MathFin program.
I want to apply for a program with great placement. Universities I really want to apply for UCLA,
Georgia tech.

The University of North Carolina at Charlotte

What are my chances? And what skills should I improve on before applying?
Thanks!
