Hi,
I am looking to apply for MSs in Statistics at Stanford, MSCF at CMU and several other top 10 programs. I was hoping I could get some feedback on my profile and chances:
Academic Experience:
Undergrad in Business with Major in Finance: GPA 3.7 w/ many academic awards
MSc in Mathematical Finance (no thesis) coursework in Statistical Arbitrage and Optimal Stopping Policy (finished with GPA 3.3 while working full time)
All 3 Levels of the CFA (just need to complete the necessary admin work for the charter)
Professional Experience:
2 years at large international quantitative hedge fund constructing equity trading models
2 years at real estate firm doing market & development analysis
Background:
International experience. 2 years Matlab, SQL and C Sharp programming experience. Speak two languages.
I still need to write my GREs, but besides that what chance do you think I have of being accepted to a statistics, finance or computational finance program at one of the top 10 schools?
Thank you.
