A nice SOP according to me as i was able to coherently explain my transition from a different background and was able to relate it to my technical abilities.I think the SOP can do wonders for me.

Certifications in Java and C++ from affiliated institutes.
Three Projects in entirely different domains ( C++ , Android and Cloud computing)
Nice command over programming skills as i am from a Comp Sc background and always shown proficiency in mathematics.

Currently enrolled in Introduction to Computational Finance and Mathematical Models for Quantitative Finance at course era.

Please post your valuable opinion as i have already applied to the above courses and would appreciate if your could help me give me helpful feedback.

I think your profile is decent for GaTech, Boston, NYU Poly and UW CFRM. I'm unsure about other programs but going through tracker should give you an idea. Your programming knowledge will be a big plus. I dont see your math grades. More than your GPA, good grades in mathematics matter.

Assuming that they're good, you should be able to make it without much hassle into the 4 I mentioned unless you commit a big blunder on your SOP. I suggest you go through the forums and go through Do's and Dont's, 15 things that you shouldn't do on your MFE application, etc. Gather as much information before you apply (of course, before the deadline). Dont worry about not having WE. You should rather concentrate on putting through your candidacy strongly.

Thanks a lot man for your opinion and i would surely go through all that u mentioned.Do you think it would be difficult to get into UIUC and Rutgers , because i have seen a bit weaker profiles get accepted in these rather than in Ga Tech and Boston at least.

I'm sorry bro, the little I know about these programs is not enough to give a cumulative picture about your chances there. I suggest you contact people who're enrolled there or accepted this year.
