Hi everyone,
I'm currently completing a double major in Physics and Mathematics at a Spanish university (not in Madrid or Barcelona), and I'm considering a Master's degree in quant finance. My average grade is around 7.9 in Physics and 8.5 in Mathematics: about 3.2-3.4 GPA, (Spanish grades tend to be low). I also hold a C2 certificate in English (Cambridge) as well as good knowledge of Python (Numpy, matplotlib, pytorch...) and C/C++ and very basic knowledge (I have forgotten most of it) of R and Matlab. I also did two summer internships in a department of my University, but not related to finance: neural networks in computational physics.
I'm particularly interested in UZH/ETH, EPFL and TUM in Munich.
- What are my chances of being admitted in one of these?
- Any advice to improve my CV and increase my chances of being admitted in one of these programs?
- What universities should I also consider in Europe? (Outside the UK, tuition fees are much higher than in the rest of Europe).
I'm also considering a Master's in Statistics (instead of quantitative finance), should I? Or is a QF master's better?
Thanks in advance!
