I’m currently a freshman doing a BBA and a data science minor at a top public university, and I’m trying to identify the best way to approach recruiting to quant trading rather than the IB/Corporate Finance route that our program pushes us to. Would switching to a data science/BBA dual degree (would likely graduate in 4.5 yrs due to liberal arts requirements) be better, or would it be more worth it to finish most of my BBA requirements early and start a datasci/compsci masters during my 4th year? Would that plus good internships be enough experience to land a role in quant trading? I just need a little more guidance because our program isn’t structured around people going into this industry.
