Hi,
If I have to choose one between the two which shall I prefer and why? Please give an idea about general average placement of the both.
Thanks

No idea about placement but Warwick has a much better reputation for its mathematics department in the U.K. than Manchester does. I believe they are especially strong in PDE's but have a look to confirm.

Other than that, both are semi-target uni's but I think there is greater on campus presence at Warwick

What do you mean by pde?and semi target?
The Warwick programme comes under its b school as well.

pde - partial differential equations. Semi-target as in it has a reputable name within the U.K. finance industry. 'Semi' because it does not place as well as Oxbridge/Imperial/LSE.

Isnt Warwick one of the best b-school at a global level? Isn't Manchester a top 30 univ as well?

So you will choose warwick over manchester for its maths department?

No I would not say that Warwick is a top global B-School imo. Both itself and Manchester have very little notariety outside the U.K.

If the subject is financial mathematics, I would assume modules are taught by the math department which has a better reputation at Warwick.

Thanks, are they good name in uk Finance industry to land you a job if you are decent? I reckon semi- target means above average?

Definitely, especially if you achieve good grades. I would also try to develop good programming skills as well, as this often goes hand in hand with quant jobs

Except Oxford/Cambridge all other British Universities are thirdclass including LSE and Imperial which are Chinese factories. They are just diploma mills and lack any standards.

I personally would try to put together a judgment directly (based on visiting the programs and talking to alumni) rather than relying on generalizations made by strangers, but it's your money.

Warwick/Manchester both are jokes and no one would take it seriously outside of UK nor it should be. If you are an international, your bigger concern must be immigration pathways and what ecosystem will help you to apply the learned skills.
