Hey guys! I recently got admitted to Rutgers MQF and SMU MQF (Singapore Management University). While, I understand that NYC is THE hub for quant finance, especially on the asset management and quant developer side, I realized that going to SMU is about 15k USD cheaper than Rutgers (including housing and food). What do quant opportunities look like in SG? How does that compare to Rutgers?
My primary take so far has been that SMU has a strong network in Singapore which may make it easier to get into large banks in SG, while Rutgers may not be as easy. Would love to hear your takes on it so I can get some outside perspectives.
