Stephen A. Ross passed away last Friday March 3rd, 2017. He was known among other things for:

• Cox–Ingersoll–Ross model
• Binomial options pricing model

May he rest in peace. It is sad to lose a remarkable and popular author who wrote books in finance and economics. I remember him as the one who received the Smith Breeden Prize last 2006.
