Taking the numerical inverse of a laplace transform question

I am having trouble understanding this step in the paper: we can apply the numerical inversion (16)-(17) to fhataB (s) and fhatbA(s) to derive faB (t) and fbA(t). How do you apply the numerical inversion to derive the function and what would the function be?

No enough information given. If I could guess clearly the characteristics and definitions of those variables and expressions what the indexes mean then I would think of something. In 16 and 17 it is meant the upper equations as I guess but what is pi? Impossible to guess what is intended to be transformed from the given information. If you provide some clarification we can at least have something to cling to.
