Traveling and interviews

Hello,
I have applied for several summer internships.
Some banks are holding their interviews during February.

I am planning to visit China for a week in February, however, given that I do not know the exact date of the interviews I am quite unsure if I should book my trip.

If I book this trip and the interviews would be held exactly during this week, do you think it would be an absolute no-go to call or email the company, saying that I am going to do that trip that week and asking if it would be possible to do the interview a week later?

Doing the interview and landing an internship is most important to me, however, it would be a shame (and really expensive!!!) if I had to cancel the whole trip.

What do you guys think?

I agree with Andy. Also, depending on the banks and the kind of contact you have to the recruitment department, you could maybe call there (maybe first show interest in the position, ask if they need further info) and then ask about next steps and dates for potential interviews. Some firms may have exact interview days.
