Hi, I'm an international student who studies in the U.S. and I got two admission letters from UW and UIUC. My first choice is NCSU but it hasn't released a result yet, so I'm waiting for it. However, since the due date of the decision date is coming, I want to choose either UW or UIUC.

I think their differences are very clear. And I didn't receive any scholarship.

UW: Higher rank, cheap tuition
UIUC: Geographical benefit (East), Practicum

Hence, I can't choose it. Can you guys share any thoughts or advice?

Thank you!

I don't think UIUC receives a geographical just because it is in the east though

Have you tried asking for an extension on the deadlines?

No, I didn't. Is it available?
You can try and email UIUC/UW to explain that you are waiting on a decision from another school and request an extension on the deadline to enroll. It is possible they give you more time to decide.

Also seems like UIUC recently has good placement into US jobs.
