Baruch MFE When does Baruch Pre-MFE open & what should I keep in mind before applying

I’m planning to apply to the Baruch Pre-MFE program and was wondering if anyone knows when the next cohort starts or when applications usually open?
Also, any idea on what I should keep in mind before applying like GPA expectations, math, programming prep, or anything else they look for?

Would really appreciate any input from people who’ve gone through it or are currently in the program.

I was wondering the same thing, I believe the Pre-MFE courses run in the Fall and Winter just by looking at Baruch's website. I am not sure when applications open up though however.

Based on last year timing, the registration for the Fall 2025 will be open in Sep for courses starting in Oct-Dec.
There are plenty of people who recently finished the course. @MikeLawrence @grxthy

There is no required programming knowledge, but for some of the homeworks you can end up coding a decent amount- especially if you want all your ducks in a row heading into the final exam.

Just write a good statement of purpose, explain why the courses will be beneficial to you. You will also need a grade equivalent to at least a 'B' or higher in a first course in LA, for the NLA seminar, and multivariate calculus, for the advanced calculus seminar.
