Would an open university qualification hurt my chances over a University of London distance degree?

Hello Everyone!
At the end of my BBA Finance(3.00/4.00), I realised that the work itself was theoretical, and I wanted a career in a more challenging field, which is when quant finance caught my eye.

I was looking at my options, and a traditional full-time degree does not make sense for me. Which is when I came across a few options. I was hoping to get the perspective of someone who has experience with the application process and the overall job market for this field.

Option 1: IGNOU, it is India's premier open university (I am Indian), and has a pretty great course overall. It covers calculus, linear algebra, probability & statistics, discrete math, real analysis, algebra, data structures, linear programming, and mathematical modelling. While the course itself is great, the name of the college is nothing special. The university allows applications from anyone and accepts everyone as long as they fulfil the minimum requirements.

Option 2: University of London's BSc. Mathematics and Economics, fairly self-explanatory, it covers calculus, statistics, algebra, abstract mathematics, and quant-heavy economics courses. It's directed by LSE and is a great course overall.

All of this will most definitely be supplemented with self-study, independent research work and other certifications, including the Pre-MFE and the C++ course, which are both intriguing but are above my level currently.

Thank you for your time :)
