C++ Programming for Financial Engineering

This is a great course teaching me lots of useful skills of C++ including the data structure and algorithm. Since I'm lack basic knowledge of option pricing, Level9 could be hard for me to learn , and I think it would be better if there's a workshop or additional lesson to help me better comprehend the knowledge of option pricing.

I like this course because it is well-structured. It covers essential C++ topics with applications to finance which are really useful and rich in content for a MFE applicant like me! The materials are detailed and accurate, with professor's clear explanation. My TA (Avi) is very responsive, providing feedback usually within a half a day. Big thanks to QuantNet for providing this course.

I really like the provided documents that provide extra details besides the lecture and the instant responses (within one day) of TAs when I have questions. It meets my original goal for taking this course - improving my knowledge about C++. I found the material of this course to be top notch. It was initially challenging for me as I had not programmed in object oriented structure earlier, but that was exactly the point.

Overall good course as an introductory C++ course. I felt like the course had slight too much focus on C++ syntax and programming though (8 levels for C++ and 1 level for application in finance). Personally, I expected more practical applications of C++ in finance (maybe 5-6 levels for C++ and 3-4 levels for practical applications).

This course is exactly what I hoped for. APalley and all of the other TAs I interacted with on the forums were exceptionally helpful and generous with their time.
