I think you'll find they are equally passionate about what they do. If they weren't, they'd find it difficult to teach for two hours on a day where they've already put in 11 or 12 hours working.
 
Can I ask the typical period of time from submitting an application to Baruch MFE to receiving a notification on scheduling an interview (if there is an interview)? I submitted my application for Fall 2015 at the beginning of this month and am currently waiting for a status update. Thank you very much!

It really depends. I suggest you take a look at the tracker. If you have other schools that you need to reply, you should probably contact the admin office. In my case they are extremely responsive.
