Hi everyone,

This is the first time I post, but I've been reading the whole forum since a while. I'm in a top french engineering school, first year, and I've just managed to choose between Trader, Software Developper and Quant as my future job. I am willing to work either in NYC, in London or in Asia, I have 4.0 GPA so I hope I can get really nice Masters.

Now has come the time to think about how to become a quant. I have different opportunities, and I'd like your advice about which one is the best in my case. Assuming I won't do a PhD, as I think it's not compulsory and that I don't want it that much, is it better to pursue a MFE or a MSCS ?

Then I would also have 2 more questions : do you think Columbia's Math of Finance could give me great opportunities ? Is it possible to get a quant role after Imperial's Master in Finance ?

There are so many opportunities of studies, and it seems so hard to get a quant role, I really don't know what to do. Is it easier to be quant than trader ? Is it even possible to be quant (not in banks) just after a Master ?

Thanks a lot for your advice !
