Hey everyone,
I’m currently applying for MFE programs and have a question about the letters of recommendation. At this point, I have one academic referee and one professional referee lined up, and I’m looking for one more academic referee.
I’m considering a potential referee who taught a bootcamp at my university focused on quantitative finance topics. This also included an exam that I passed. Further, the referee, was also a faculty member at another institution’s financial engineering program. However, this particular bootcamp wasn’t an accredited course by my university.
Would this individual still be considered a good academic referee for my application, or should I rather add another recommendation from one of my math professors? My personal relationship with both individuals is about the same.
I’d really appreciate any advice.
