I am a new grad and want to get a quantitative research job from buyside companys for 2025.
More about my background:
Stat Phd from middle school, no knowledge about finance.
I am good at R/ parallel computing on clusters, and other statistical computing stuff.
I am fair at python and C++, I use both of them a little bit, but lack practice and deep knowledge.
I am not familiar with time series analysis. I self-learned some machine learning/deep learning stuff but never had a chance to apply it to my projects.
I got some interviews this year, some of them even progressed to late rounds, but I have no offer.
I would appreciate any useful advice that could help me make a plan.
Also, I would like to know which company only takes ivy grads and I will exclude them.
