Hi all,
This will be my first post here, I am interested in doing MFE(or related) program from top schools of United states
Now about my profile:
B.Tech. from Tier 1 college from India but average grades Overall and below average in Maths.
2 years of work experience in Data engineering ,
Currently pursuing masters in management from a top school in france , did some relevent courses with good grades such as econometrics, Options , financial Mathematics
Also doing alternance(read it as full time) in Paris in a well Renowned Real estate firm as real estate asset management
Other things about my profile :
C++ for Financial engineering certificate
GRE Quant 168
Do i stand a chance to get into any of the top 10 MFE programs if i apply ?
i am considering a couple of things to stengthen my profile , suggest where shall i invest my money and time
- enroll in a couple of Baruch Pre-mfe courses and aim for distinction
- pursue either of CQF/FRM certification
- GRE math subject Test (To showcase strong maths to offset poor UG grades - i am confident if i devote 3 months i can get 90-95 percentile)
Thank You

Don't do CQF/FRM.
Don't do GRE Math subject. All you need is a high GRE Q score. Get it as high as possible and move to the next to-do item.
Thanks for the prompt response
I was considering cqf/frm for an edge in my profile as I don’t have a very relevant work experience. These certificate might also help me bag an internship to break into Financial markets related roles but again requires huge time and money investment.
Would you have any alternate suggestions to strengthen my profile ?
Thanks
