Hi everyone,

I’ve been fortunate to receive admits from both Stevens Institute of Technology (MFE) and Boston University (MSMFT) for Fall 2025. I'm now at a crossroads and would really appreciate some insights from the QuantNet community to help me make an informed decision.

I’m trying to weigh the programs in terms of:

  • Placement and career support (especially in quant/trading/finance roles)
  • Quality of curriculum and faculty
  • Alumni network and industry connections
  • Location advantages (NYC vs Boston proximity)
  • ROI / Cost-effectiveness

I’d be super grateful for any input from current students, alumni, or anyone with direct knowledge of these programs.

Thanks in advance!

Would Stevens suffice as a better option over the Boston University for Quantitative trading placements?

If you look at the comparison table on the top, what factors are more important to you?
Look at the employment, tuition, acceptance rate, salary.
Hi Andy, thank you for your response. Employment and Salary are the factors important to me. Although Boston University commands a better ranking globally, Stevens MFE is higher ranked than Boston University's program. Confused here as to what should be the decision for me moving ahead.
