For starters I didn't go to a college like Stanford, MIT, Carnegie Mellon, etc. Im interested in becoming a quant. I have a bachelors in Electrical Engineering, but the issue is that I was arrested a few years ago. Long story short I didn't get convicted of the crime and it was later expunged. Even though I was not convicted is it still possible for me to become a quant or is that not possible now?

yes, if you weren't convicted it shouldn't show up in a background search. did you go to a tier 2 school like UT austin/UMichigan/Cornell (I went to a tier 2 so I might be helpful if this is your situation)? If so it would make it a lot easier than dogdick university

To be honest I started at a CC and went on to a state university since I couldn't afford to go to any of those schools.
