Honestly, everything in Wall Street interests me, that is, HF, IB, M&A, PE, VC, ER, AM, risk management, algorithms, and trading, as well as big data (the future).
Education in progress, but this is the checklist.
-BS Finance (non-target university)
-Trading Experience
-Self educating in Python/R/VBA/SQL and great with Excel already.
-Math emphasis (up to Diff Equations at a CC)
-CFA certification
-MS Quantitative Finance (top university hopefully and will dual major in Math if available)
Most MFE students have heavy math backgrounds (and lack english), therefore I plan to keep up with the quant skills however want to use my finance background as leverage to have more opportunities available depending on future changes in career preferences.
