Got an interview invite on 2/1 and finished the interview yesterday. There were slots on Feb 2,3,5,6.

What's your base? The US or international? Thanks

It seems that it ends on Feb 10th, but maybe they just open the new slots once per week?

It seems like they have interviewed a good number of candidates already. Wanted to know the chances of getting an invitation. Does anyone know the percentage of candidates selected in the second round? Given the number of international applicants in the cohort , I'm guessing the majority of applicants are accepted in the first round

Heard from a few friends who applied last year that CMU sends out interview invites in two batches, the second one in late Feb.
Is that actually the case ? or am I just being too optimistic

If I do not get the interview from MSCF, does it mean I have no chance being admitted? I am a little confused, thanks

Afaik, every student who's admitted to MSCF is interviewed at least once.

Hello all! I received an email for a second-round admissions interview (my first one was a few weeks ago) from the CMU MSCF where we are to talk about my "career goals and experience so far." Has anyone experienced something like this? As far as I know, CMU usually only does a single interview per person... I thought that I botched my first interview too, so I'm extra confused.

All thoughts are appreciated, thanks!

I don't think the why is too important. Think of it just like any other interview. You got this, kick some ass.
