Hi All,
So I was recently admitted to CMU MSCF and Columbia MSOR, and am trying to decide between the two.
After reading through a lot of Quantnet threads about both programs, it seems like MSCF offers many more advantages over MSOR: more rigorous coursework, better career services, and a larger alumni network, to name a few. However, I have also heard that many people in this community can be biased towards MSCF, so I just want to make sure I'm getting the whole picture before I make a decision.
It seems that MSOR's main advantages are a more flexible course selection, the ability to do the program part time while working full time, and the Columbia brand name. Is there anything else that I am missing?
Thank you all for your time! Quantnet has been an extraordinarily valuable source of information for me over over the past year
