The placement dept. Of Columbia is really good, as they help out candidates with lot of things n there seems to be 2 or 3 companies asking resumes or visiting campus every other day for IEOR students but still students are unplaced as of nowExactly what I have heard... it is really tough getting placed even if you are from one of the best university... dont know how much this reflects on the job market, university academics, career placement services efficacy and students personal level of preparation...
I had the same question. I sent Columbia a mail regarding this a few days back. Waiting for a response.
They have not replied as of now. Guess i'll send them a reminder.Have they sent a response?
I have the same problem with the tuition.
I think the total expenses come around to 80k including living considering u complete within 12 months...n I have heard still many current batch students r looking 4 placements

Congrats, NYU has more mathematics, but Columbia has a bigger name I think. BTW, did you receive the interview before admitted into NYU?I pretty much decided on Columbia and then got an offer from NYU today. Now I'm unclear as these two seem pretty close in reputation. Any ideas? thanks.
In the Tracker, you can find some former applicants received interviews. For example, "INT: 2014-02-14" means this applicant had an interview on 2014/2/14. You can also find some posts about MSFE interview in this forum. Just click "Columbia MSFE" on the top, you can see them.Where did you find the information about interviews at MSFE? I can't find any info on Columbia MSFE page that there is some interview in the admissions process.
