I received an email from the school saying that the ad com determined that I will be more suitable for the spring semester hence they encouraged me to reapply this summer.
Did you receive a similar email? Or did you already get accepted for the spring semester (ie, do not need to apply again)?

Hey.. I think we received the same email. My concern is if we reapply do you think we will get admitted forsure?? If I have that assurance I will wait until Jan. Do you have any idea if we will get admitted forsure once we reapply?

I agree with antwnia about the risk. For my case, I am going to apply for Spring as a fresh applicant (I did not apply for Fall).
May I know your backgrounds? So it gives me some idea about my chances...

Hey since you wrote that you were being redirected to the Spring class. I thought the school assured you that you will be admitted this Spring. Just my misinterpretation so you dont need to overreact...

I studied applied math in Canada and have over 4 yrs of working experience. I applued to MSOR (concentrating in business analytics) for this fall, was waitlisted then rejected. The school advised me to reapply this Spring but I am not too sure to take the risk.

Hi Kurt K,
Thanks for your response! I have an engineering background with 6 years of work experience. I do not have any finance related work ex. Since last year I have take 3 advanced Stat. classes in machine learning, time series analysis for financial data etc. My work ex is in finite element modeling. I am planning to apply for Spring.
Do you have admit from other programs already?
