Computer Engineering (CE):
1. Hardware-software interface expertise
2. Familiarity with embedded systems, computer architecture, and networking
3. Strong understanding of computational complexity and optimization
4.Less emphasis on software development and theoretical computer science, but can be covered by own interest in software and algorithms
*Computer Science (CS):*
1. Strong foundation in software development, algorithms, and data structures
2. Emphasis on theoretical computer science, including complexity theory and information theory
4. Less emphasis on hardware and computational complexity
2. May require additional coursework in numerical methods and scientific computing

I would say that CS is the more relevant of two, especially numerical and programming skills.
