Anyone know anything about the Cornell ORIE online interview? It seems we only get a minute to answer each question. Will it mostly be technical questions or more get-to-know-you type questions?
a quick question, have you received invitation from Cornell?
Hi. I got the same email. Is your native language English?I'm not sure what you mean precisely by invitation, but they sent me an email stating the next step of the application process was a video interview, and giving me instructions on how to access and submit this interview (without, of course, actually giving me any kind of hints as to the content of this interview)
Yes, it is. Why?Hi. I got the same email. Is your native language English?
by invitation, I mean the interview. Congrats!!!
May I know when did you submit your application?
i guess i submitted about the same time. do you know if they give out all the interviews once or several rounds of interviews? Thanks. Cornell M.Eng application was due a while ago, maybe I submitted it Nov 29-30 ish?

I have no idea. My native language is not English. I thought Cornell wanted to test my English proficiency. But now, maybe not. By the way, have you submitted your video and have you heard anything from Cornell?Yes, it is. Why?
thanks!! good luck with the interview~I actually don't know anything about the interview process other than what's on the email I received, sorry. But from the tracker it seems like a bunch of people got admitted already without interview or they didn't mark this down as a proper interview.
Yes. But I will not tell you anything about it. Otherwise, it will be unfair to other applicants. What questions will be asked?

I wouldn't feel comfortable talking about it, as it seemed to me that the interview process was set up specifically to avoid rehearsed or pre-prepared answers. Of course I understand that what's unknown is stressful, but it's not a hard interview for someone who has a normal level of social skill and the poise to speak about themselves intelligently.Dear Andres,
Could you talk a little bit about what kind of questions you met in the video interview.
We really appreciate that.
