Delusional to choose any school over Princeton MFin?

Accepted to Princeton, and according to my list of characteristics I'm looking for (options/derivatives coursework, trading placements, TA opportunities, proximity to home) Princeton appears to be the top school I've been admitted to.

That being said, I know this site will have more diverse views so if you would choose another school over Princeton, please let me know and share your thought process as I want to make sure I'm not overlooking anything!

Princeton is ranked first both in employment outcomes and overall program strength. However, it is located farther from a major financial hub compared to some other options, and it has a highly intense academic environment. Another factor to consider is how much you want to develop your “engineering” skills. Princeton’s program, like MIT’s, is structured within a finance department, this changes the way some of the curriculum is structured. If you’re looking for a more engineering-driven approach there are programs like Columbia, Cornell, NYU and Carnegie. If you are looking for a more math heavy approach you can consider more, programs like Stanford, NYU Courant and UChicago. Think about the roles you want specifically for the future and the skills you need/ want to develop more based on your background. You have amazing options and of course no one can deny that Princeton is a top choice. Good luck!

I would suggest reaching out to a few recent Princeton graduates on LinkedIn to hear them out. They may share insights that are not captured by our rankings and public info.
Princeton is a two years program so their cost is a factor for some people.
