Does it matter for admission?

I implemented the code of a paper, which will be published in the Journal of Machine Learning Research, and my code is linked in the paper.
Does something like this have a weight in Baruch's admissions process?

This is a positive point. By itself, it may not weight much but the more positive points you can collect for your application, the better.

Is it only important to get the first interview, and then only interview performance matters, or does it matter after getting interviews as well, e.g. if my interview performance is just mediocre, to still be admitted
