Hi, I'm starting my degree in Argentina at the University Of Buenos Aires. I'm currently enrolled in an Applied Math degree and would like to know how it compares to a Computer Science degree. I would like to work as a quant trader someday. Here in Argentina we have no minors, or majors. Our degrees are six year long and can compare to a masters degree in the US. I spoke to a couple of students here who did a PhD in Math at MIT and Harvard. Is that the only way I have to get to a US or European quant fund? Thanks.
