Hi,

I’m looking to study an MSc in Financial Mathematics with a view to doing a PhD in the area (I appreciate this ambition is subject to change), and then going to work in the financial sector after the PhD. I have narrowed my choice down to the following courses:

Manchester - Mathematical Finance MSc
LSE - Financial Mathematics MSc
Imperial - Mathematics and Finance MSc
UCL - Financial Mathematics MSc
Kings College London - Financial mathematics MSc

I would be choosing a masters course with a view to staying on at that institution for a PhD.

My question is, assuming the same level of attainment was achieved at any of the institutions above, would having studied at the one opposed to the other significantly affect my future job prospects?

Also, would studying in London opposed to Manchester be preferable in terms of better links to financial institutions and thus improved job prospects?

Many thanks, Rich.
