Does anyone have the stats on what percentage of quant shops fail within:
1) 1 year?
2) 2 years?
3) 3 years?
4) 4 years?
5) 5 years?

want to know so that I can ask shops how many years they've been in business during the interview to make sure I'm most likely picking a rising tide, as years in business is probably lindy.

You can probably get that info directly from the adv. also, depends on what you are trying to maximize. The longer a shop has been around, the more likely your income will be bond like. New shops, while risky, have more potential upside. Lottery ticket maybe?
