Hello,
This spring I will be finished with my Masters degree in Electrical Engineering(specializing on Machine Learning and Data Analysis) and a Bachelors degree in Financial Mathematics(pretty much same as Financial Engineering), my GPA is as of now around 3.4. From before that I hold a BSEE specializing in control/automation.
I have programmed for around 12 years, and have been dabbling with forex on the side the past two years...finance career wise is something I just recently got interested in. My original goal was always to get into big oil, but then I came over this (quantitative finance) which intrigued me...unfortunately I don't have internships, mostly because in Norway, where I live, they are pretty uncommon outside Business studies. And that Engineers are pretty much guaranteed a job straight out of school.
I have also worked physically and mentally demanding jobs where 90-120 hour weeks are common, but this has been during the summers.
My question here is: If I wanted to break into finance, what would the next logical step here be?
Thanks!
