Hi everyone,
I am currently developing my programming skills and would like to understand what matters most for a quant career in trading, research, or risk.
Many people say Python is enough for practical work and interviews, while others emphasize that strong C++ skills are essential for high-performance modeling and low-latency environments.
For someone aiming for long-term growth in quantitative finance, is it wiser to specialize deeply in one language or to reach a solid professional level in both?
I would really appreciate perspectives from those already working in the field or who have gone through MFE programs and quant internships.
