My Background : International Student from India. BS - Electrical and Computer Engineering from University of Texas and would be graduating in Spring 2015. Expected overall GPA of 3.90 and Major GPA 3.92. I have done two summer internships and both were in Software Development. Have completed a Certificate in Applied Business at University of Colorado and the Summer School Program at London School of Economics on "Options, Futures and Derivatives". I possess very good Math and Programming skills and rudimentary knowledge (as of now) on Financial Engineering. I do not have any full time work experience either.

I have been offered admission for the Fall 2015 MS-QCF at Georgia Tech. While I am quite excited to have got a place in the program, I need some advice :

1. How are the job prospects for a person with my background? I am primarily interested in Front Office jobs at Hedge Funds.
2. What has been the record of post MS job placements at GT-QCF in the last two years and what has been the average salary? Also what are the job prospects for someone who doesn't have prior work experience esp in Finance Domain.
3. I have heard that GT-QCF is more favored for job placements by Energy Firms in comparison to Hedge Funds. Is that true?

Thanks and Wishing everyone here a very happy 2015.
