How to correctly compress the Homework folder?

Hi,

I have deleted all the voluminous unnecessary files and only left with projects files(.sln .vcxproj). Even though those VS project files are in the low kb, my zip folder size is still in MB?
Can anyone tell me how to correctly compress the folder?

That shouldn't be, unless there are some hidden files. Maybe try viewing hidden files?
