I have seen and compared the performance of Swiss Franc versus every major currency on the planet, and couldn't find a single currency against which it fell over 1 year/ 3 year/ 5 year/10 year period. Why are investors so much in love with Swiss Franc? ( Even Japanese Yen has fallen against Swiss Franc - though Yen's rise was fueled more by unwinding for carry trade than by anything else)

It might, If Chinese loosen up it's strings to yuan. <I think the clause "Appreciation of currency in long term is good for the economy of the country" is long gone since every govt started printing 'head on a paper' the way they like.>

Lately, I have also observed that insane amount of money is flowing into Switzerland in the past 2 years- just look at forex reserves (almost touching $400B from barely $70B very recently). This amount of money inflow growth is insane/unprecedented for such a small country. Even developing countries, so called BRIC, ex China, didn't receive those kind of inflows.

now you know from where the money is flowing.

Sure. I agree that Indians are number 1 source of underground money flowing into Swiss Banks. However, the money $400B (forex reserves) is with the swiss central bank and not with the Swiss banks. Also, the black money put by Indians in Swiss banks is nothing knew; they have always done that. I am talking about recent developments - $70B as recently as 2009/2010. I have read articles, dated 2009/2010, stating India's black money close to that figure in Swiss Banks.
