I'm a technology lead in top financial company for past 6yrs, thinking of taking up Quant career. I'm mostly into Java/J2EE, I do have Master's in computer science. I'm thinking of getting Master in Mathematical Finance to move into this career?

Are there any forum members who took this path, how is your experience?

Any inputs/advice?

Do the MFE. It will definitely help. If you ask more specific questions I will be able to give you a better recommendation.

Being a technology lead in a "top" financial company might not be desirable though. I also don't know how similar of a background we have besides that I have written a lot of Java code in my life and I also have a MS in CS. I do like Java but I hate a lot of pieces of the J2EE stack. Every time I hear "enterprise", I smell a "disaster in the making".
