Hi everyone. One of our clients in Chicago is interested in bringing some MFEs with 1-2 years of trading desk experience on-board. Here's how they described what they are looking for:

* come from an empirical research background: e.g., Physics, Applied Math, Statistics, or Econometrics
* have a graduate degree from a top university: e.g., Ph.D. from Stanford, MIT, UChicago, Cambridge or an MFE from Carnegie Mellon, NYU, Berkeley
* have 1-2 years experience in the finance industry, working on or closely with a trading desk
* have a genuine interest in high-frequency algorithmic trading
* have a practical problem-solving sense and be motivated by seeing research work leading to profitable algorithms
* have great communication skills
* have some programming experience and proficiency with using one of the following: MATLAB, R, KDB
* be looking to be directed by senior FE's on the way to independent research
