Hi,
I am a candidate for quantitative and computational finance program at Gatech in 2014. I am currently looking for a 2014 summer internship position in United States, and primarily targeting at risk management position. Right now it is already the end of February, but me and my most classmates from QCF haven't secured summer internships yet. The major reason was actually not that many companies came by our campus, trying to recruit us. I believe there should be many summer internship opportunities about risk management in the market. So I really don't understand why so few companies came by our campus to recruit? Was it because our program's reputation is not good enough? Or it is still too early for companies to recruit interns? Or most companies are already done with recruiting sumer interns? Anyway, if anyone would provide any information about summer internship opportunities in respect to risk management, trading, and financial analysis, I would really appreciate.

gatech is not a target school, which means most firms wont do on campus recruiting there. u should know that before signing up. my place is hiring, but i will only refer and bat for my alma mater

It's fair that people are alway in favor of their schools. Any advices for me?
