Hi, I have 3 years of work experience (currently working with python in index structuring) at the time of applying. I have a degree in economics and plan to apply to MFE courses. I aim to get into Cornell or Columbia, however, I feel that my Cs in mathematics I, II and III set me back. Would it help to do a few online courses in calculus, PDEs/ODEs and ML to offset these grades?

Depends on how competitive of a school you want to get into. I guess everything is online now, but most schools demand good grades from some kind of accredited institution. I blew off the the final for one of my part time math classes for a work thing, and I had to retake the course to get a better grade. Oomf.
