Is there a list of schools that offer a Phd in Mathematical Finance? Or maybe a list of mathematical finance research groups/departments? I'm not really interested in MFE or other masters programs. After googling a little bit, I found a couple schools (Imperial College, Cornell, CMU), but a centralized list would really help. I just want to get an idea of what institutions have programs devoted to research in the area. Thanks!

Imperial has the edge among all programs.

Chicago & MIT is the dominant force in finance but American PhDs are not easier to come unlike UK which can be wound up in 3 yrs . The spirit of the supervisor permeates the group so you need to find the ace players and branch out from there ...

Yeah thats what I've heard, what does its phd in math finance have that other programs lack? Thanks!

Also, even if Imperial does exceed other school, I'd still like a list just because I want to go through the list and see what sort of research each group is doing. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

That makes sense, it sounds like Imperial is a good place to start looking into it. Their papers are also pretty interesting. Thanks Philip!
