Hello all,

I am new to this forum also this field. Currently I am an electrical engineer working at a software development firm in the Minneapolis suburbs. I am currently looking at pursuing a double masters in ComSci and Financial Mathematics. I know that a very large majority of this field is concentrated on Wall Street, which is fine I can relocate, but my roots are in the Midwest and am curious what the career outlook for quants/I banker/financial analyst here.

Thanks

There's a good amount of trading going on out there, specifically Chicago. For Minneapolis, there's some agricultural commodities trading.

NB, my observation on Minneapolis was from cursory looks at jobs. Since you're there, you should just work your network and local organizations to get that info.
