I see you had ur interview on 3/30..so how did it go?
My take is that there is very little you can gleam from a 30 minute interview beyond whether a person has basic social skills and if they are somewhat close to what they projected in their application. Perhaps adcoms have a different take (and probably put more stock in the predictive validity of behavioral questions than I do) but I don't think an interview will significantly impact one's candidacy except at the extremities, both performance-wise and candidacy-wise.
That commentary aside, I thought it went decently but it was markedly different from the "corporate" style of interviewing that I'm used to. They didn't address any specific issues with or questions about my candidacy, which reinforces my belief that they're really testing for what I mentioned above.
They're probably still there, but there's a handful of them -- definitely fewer than 5. If I said 146, that was probably the total including the test entries. The 150 figure is just an approximation from memory.
