I have been working as software engineer at one of big techs for 4+ ys. But I want new challenge!

I want to explore algo trading/ algo developer positions.

What's the chance to get this position without a master's degree?

I also want to apply small-mid size companies as long as the positions are interesting.

I could find the list of big trading firms but where can I find the small-mid size algo trading company to search for those positions?

will being an algo developer increase your compensation more than being a swe or quant dev at the same hedgefunds/banks?
