Hi, I'm trying to decide if my profile will be good to get into quant role and what university/degree will give me the best foundaiton to get into a quant research role in the future. For background I go to a semi-target uni and within the top of my class studying CS and Maths. I've done a range of tech internships at Banks, Startups and Consultancies and will be joining a trading desk at a large bank in the upcoming summer. For my masters, I have offers from Imperial for their MSc in Statistics and UCL for Machine Learning and I'm trying to decide which one to go to. I have full scholarships for these courses so that is why I'm choosing to do these programs over a more direct quant finance masters. My conditional offer for UCL is easily achievable however my Imperial offer will require more effort to attain which would add some risk and additional stress. Currently I'm leaning more towards UCL as my interests lie more within using non-standard ML models for finance but I would like to get some opinions on whether this would be a good choice. I'm also aware Imperial has more prestige than UCL which would help me be more competitive in my applications.

If you have any recommendations or experience from these courses, I'd appreciate some input, or pros or cons between each one.

Thanks!
