I'm currently appying to MFE programs/bits of finance program.
uChi just launched their newest Finance program, and was wondering if I should apply to it. I've seen the success in MIT MFin's in quant/ibd. I was wondering what would the outcomes or predictions towards uchi mif program as it is in booth.

Look at their curriculum and compare it to their fin math program. Now consider a team of quants consisting of a stats phd, a physicist who worked at a National lab, and a mathematician who has many citations. Who do you think they would they rather hire?

Is anyone here applying to this program?
I have applied!
Obviously Booth has a great reputation internationally and Chicago is a great finance city (despite being cold!). It had no admission fee as it is the first year. I am not too sure on the admissions timeline, i.e. when they will release interview invitations, but the website says w/c 4 March for decisions. The program fee is quite substantial for an inaugural program though, in my opinion.

Please keep us updated on this journey if you decide to join the program. It's always the trailblazers like you who can provide the greatest insights and input for everyone involved. Definitely interested to learn more about it.

Not from the new MFin program, but received an admit from the Chicago MSFM program.

hey everyone this is a new program, I'm curious about the overall application procedure.

What can I expect during the interview? Are there common themes or questions that tend to be discussed?

Does the program offer scholarships, and if so, what types of scholarships are available? Eg Fin math has 30/60% scholarships. Are these available too?

appreciatee if anyone who has received an offer / underwent the process can advise.
