NYU just started a MS in Data Science (http://cds.nyu.edu/academics/ms-in-data-science/curriculum/) this past fall. Does anyone have any thoughts on it? Also, would it be a good place to go to work for a hedge fund and do algorithmic trading? Its primary focus is computational statistics/machine learning techniques, but allows half the courses to be electives giving students the opportunity to take NYU mathematical finance courses.
